This is a most elaborate antique, Victorian era sterling silver collar necklace.
This is one of the most extravagant examples I have seen and there is so much detailing on this piece you are not sure where to look first.
It has three rows of triple ringed links intercepted by decorative applied flat links all through the centre.
There is silver beading to the top and bottom edges of the chain.
One of the most special features of this beautiful antique chain is the clasp, it is a slide clasp, engraved in the aesthetic manner with a stork.
A staple piece of Victorian jewellery and as wearable in this era as it was then, it is heavy and substantial and blends well with so many styles.
A rare find, this would be a wonderful addition to your collection.

Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, c1880s, Victorian era.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear and patina commensurate with age, a few small dings to some Links, missing some of the applied silver adornments and one bead to the top, hard to notice when worn.
