Antique Buckle mourning ring, 9ct gold and Black enamel

A very attractive antique 9ct gold mourning ring.

The gold band is engraved and terminates at the front with an elaborate buckle and belt design, this symbolises holding someone close and enhances the sentiment in this beautiful ring.

The ring is highlighted to the front and all around the band with black enamel, often hair was woven through the hollow band but this one is designed with enamel.

A real beauty with an unusual design.

Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Victorian era, Chester assay office, 1891.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, minor light surface wear commensurate with age and use, some wear to the enamel, some tiny dings / marks to the inner band.
