An attractive antique sterling silver vesta case.
Early Edwardian era, it is a rectangular shape with an ergonomic curved design.
It has all over engraving in an ivy leaf pattern, the front has a monogrammed cartouche with the initials JM.
A very fine piece with lots of detailing.
I am a fan of vesta cases as Albert chain fobs or pendants, a versatile or functional piece of jewellery if you will, shown in the images on a silver plated double albert chain, the listing is for the vesta only, chain is available to purchase separately in the shop.
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1901, maker Hands & Pearce
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, lid opens and closes well.
