This antique Victorian 9ct gold seal fob makes for a fantastic pendant or the perfect addition to your favourite Albert chain.
The fob is crafted in rich 10ct rose gold a monogramed bloodstone intaglio to one side and a heraldic carnelian intaglio to the other.
The bloodstone features a gothic script monogram and the carnelian has an image of a man holding a hammer and the Latin; Praesto Pro Patria which roughly translates to For One's Country.
This is a known family crest for the Neilson family of Wigtownshire, Scotland.
It is a spinning fob with a chain link design mount.
Marks and era:
Marked 10c, Victorian era, c1890s
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light surface wear, bloodstone has a chip, carnelian and bloodstone both have nibbles around the edges.
Approx measurements:
1.25" length with bale
0.75" width at the widest point
