A stunning vintage, Art Deco snuff box.
Beautifully crafted from pretty panels of lustrous Mother of Pearl in an oval shape, it has an 18ct yellow gold rim, marked and tested.
The top is set with a gorgeous silver cobweb design setting which houses over 1.2ct of rose cut and round cut diamonds and a fine rich deep green octagonal cut emerald.
The edge of the box has a small lip for opening and this is set with a small diamond chip.
Exceptionally fine, Continental, possibly French.
Makers mark is worn, there is a pictorial mark to the side of the gold rim, unidentified, the metal tests as 18ct gold.
Diamonds are a good colour, estimated total carat weight 1.2 carat or above, estimated in setting, Emerald a nice deep rich green hue with minor surface wear and natural inclusions under loupe, estimated carat weight of emerald approx 0.48 ct, estimated in setting.
Condition:
Very good used condition overall, light surface wear, stones are strong in the setting, minor tarnish to the gold on one side.
