Antique Victorian sterling silver pocket watch, Fusee movement
Antique Victorian sterling silver pocket watch, Fusee movement
A handsome antique sterling silver cased pocket watch.
A Swiss Fusee movement, it is a well made watch with a heavy sterling silver case.
The case is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1896, maker William Ehrhardt.
It has a white enamel dial with black roman numerals and gold tone hands, there is a subsidiary second dial with black hands.
To the reverse there is a fancy cartouche surrounded by an engraved buckled belt design, the symbol for the order of the garter, no monograms so this could be personalised.
Key wind watch, it comes with a key.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, running and ticking, glass is free from cracks and is nice and clear, some yellowing of the enamel dial, a few small nibbles to the edges of the dial and near to the centre of the second dial.
As with all antique pocket watches we cannot guarantee accuracy and always recommend a full service particularly following travel.
A nice, good quality antique pocket watch and would make a lovely gift.
Approx measurements:
1.95" width of the watch,
2.75" height / length including bow
120 grams weight
