You can't go wrong with a beautiful antique seal fob.
It is a very decorative seal fob with engraved initials carved into the foul backed quartz matrix, the initials are M P in gothic script.
The seal fob is made from base metal with a 9ct yellow gold casing, this was a common construction for seal fobs as the base metal ensures strength so the seal can regularly be used.
This is perfect worn as a pendant or for hanging from your favourite Albert chain.
Marks and era:
Unmarked,19th century, c1870's, Victorian era.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light wear, some minor White metal showing at the base rim of the seal fob.
Approx measurements:
1.20" height / length with bale
0.70" width at the base
0.60" depth
