Antique snake ring, 18ct yellow gold, Victorian

This charming antique, Victorian coiled snake ring is a real charmer.

Coils of rich, buttery yellow gold form the body of this handsome happy snake, the head is modelled at the face of the ring with the snakes tail coiling all the way around to create a lovely chunky piece.

This is a beautiful ring, exceptionally well designed.

Snakes in jewellery were catapulted into popularity when Queen Victoria received a snake ring from her beloved Albert.

Fully hallmarked for 18ct gold, Victorian era, London assay office, 1873.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light surface wear.
