We love this handsome antique Jet signet ring!
There are so many gorgeous features of this ring, it has amazing lion paw shoulders,the class gripping the shield shaped face.
The face is set with a carved Whitby jet panel.
The ring did have a textured engraved band but much of this has been worn.
It has certainly had a life or eight this feline themed beauty but it still has more left to give!
Marks and era:
Victorian era c1880s, hallmarked to the band but this is indistinct and worn, tests as 9ct gold
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, lots of surface wear and surface scratches commensurate with age, the ring has had multiple resizes and this is visible in multiple areas with different colour bands throughout, the Jet panel has nibbles and scratches
Approx weight: 2.39g.
Ring face approx 12.8mm length, 1.9mm band width.
