A beautiful pair of antique Georgian Garnet cabochon earrings.
These earrings feature huge rich red garnet cabochons set to the centre with a creamy seed pearl in 9ct gold star setting.
The heavy juicy garnets are in a 9ct gold closed back setting.
A gorgeous pair of earrings with so much character and character and charm, I bet these have some stories they could tell.
Late 18th century / early 19th century.
The large garnets have an estimated carat weight of 9.34 ct each, estimated in setting.
The ear wire fasteners have been replaced with more modern 9ct gold ear wires, in keeping with the original style, marked 375.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some surface wear to the garnets including small scratches, an area of chipping to one garnet at the facet edge, surface wear to the gold backs, commensurate with age and use.
