This gorgeous antique French silver long chain or longuard chain necklace is everything you could hope for in a long chain.
It is a lovely long length chain at 61" and can be easily wrapped around three times making it very versatile and adaptable in length.
It is made from tight curb link 900 grade silver and is fastened together with a jump ring and a dog clip fastener, this perfect for hanging your favourite Victorian silver pendants or lockets or a fob or pocket watch.
It is a good quality and weighty chain.
Marks and era:
Unmarked it tests as 900 silver, Late 19th century, c1890s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some Links with wear commensurate with age, some darker areas on the chain, probably from previous testing.
Approx measurements:
Chain length 61"
Links width approx 5mm.
Weighs approx 118 grams
