An unusual antique cigarette case, Victorian era sterling silver, it is engraved with musical staves from the West Country Overture.
A fully hallmarked smooth silver case, engraved to the front and the back.
Gilt lined with the original interior strap, hallmarked for Birmingham 1897, made by the renowned maker Deakin and Francis, the hallmarks can be found on the inside of the case.
A wonderful piece with plenty of character and with a decent weight and an interesting music themed design.
The case closes securely and well.
It has been monogrammed with initials on the back along with the date 1-2-99 (1st February 1899)

Approx 83.84 grams.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear / scratches commensurate with age, some areas of tarnish, some gilt wear, inner strap fairly slack.
