A beautiful Victorian Garnet and pearl boat head ring in 15ct gold.
A real stunner, the band and shoulders on this piece are finely engraved all the way around.
Centre front takes centre stage with a row of rich and deep red, faceted round cut garnets, above and below the garnets is a row of creamy seed pearl which contrast with the red and golds rich tones beautifully.
The ring is fully hallmarked, some hallmark is partial due to a previous resize, still nice and clear though.
Hallmarked for Birmingham assay, 15ct gold, 1875.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some surface wear commensurate with age, some thinning of the band at the back, previous resize, a little nacre wear to some of the smaller pearls, and some nibbles at the garnet facets.
UK/AU ring size J½
US ring size 5
EU ring size 49.32
Total weight 1.60 grams
Ring face 8mm length / 16mm width
Stones 4mm to 1mm
