A superb and very interesting vintage 1930's sterling silver cigarette box.

Made from heavy sterling silver with an all over engraved lid, the fantastic thing about this box is that it has been engraved with the individual signatures of people, probably to present as a gift, perhaps for retirement or leaving.

It is also engraved N. J. F. H-T 1931 and the front of the box has two heraldic crests on, a lion with a crown and axe and a winged creature or bird within a crown.

It is cedar lined with a two sectioned compartment.

The base is covered in a red leather covered paper but this is very worn and coming away.

This beautiful box is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, London assay office, 1931, maker TF&Co.

A very interesting piece and most certainly one of a kind with the engraving.

Condition:
Fair used condition overall, quite a few small deep dings to the rim of the lid and body, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, the cedar lining has some evidence of liquid and a little wear.

Approx measurements:
7" width
2" height
3.5" length
Weighs approx 423 grams
