An absolutely beautiful antique silk and silver bookmark.

It is a religious bookmark designed for marking multiple places in ones bible, often for bible study or regular prayer.

It is made from delicate cream silk ribbons each with a little sterling silver charm at the bottom.

They are all adjoined to a weighted silver engraved bar at the top.

The charms include a holy chalice, a crucifix with Jesus, an anchor and a flaming heart engraved Jesus.

It is such a beautiful piece and very well made, Edwardian era, English make.

The charms are unmarked but test as silver.

Condition:
Good condition overall, some small marks here and there, commensurate with age and use, very nicely kept.

Approx 7" max length and 1.5" width.
