A beautiful antique Georgian mourning ring in 9ct rose gold.
It has a bevelled gold band with deep engraved shoulders with lovely fine detailing and an engraved frame surrounding the convex crystal set to the front, this gives lovely contrast to the ring and creates multiple focal points.
The centre features finely woven dark brown hair beneath the convex crystal.
The ring has a closed back setting and the back of the face is engraved with initials JJT, it is unmarked, tests as 9ct gold, early 19th century, Georgian era.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some age commensurate surface wear, some wear / thinning to the back of the band, the glazed panel has some wear and scratches, band slightly off round.
