An interesting antique French Beetle locket pendant.
This locket features convex glass covers with a dried beetle and flower in the centre, it is mounted on a slim 9ct Rose gold frame with an integral bale.
Could also be used as a shaker locket but the beetle and flower are original to the piece and I think they make for a wonderfully interesting theme for the locket.
The bale is marked depose and tests as 9ct gold, made in France, C1900s.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, a little dust under the glazed covers, there is some damage to a small section of gold at the top that holds the bale but still holds strong.
Approx measurements:
1.05" pendant length
0.75" pendant width
1.40 grams weight
