An attractive antique, Victorian era, sterling silver Albert chain or watch chain.
Lovely fancy engraved links with a dog clip fastener to one end and a sterling silver fob to the other.
The chain is made from sterling silver and has a rich aged patina.
The fob is a shield shaped fob, engraved around the outer edge with a plain blank cartouche to the centre, could be personalised if desired.
A lovely chunky chain, the perfect piece for displaying your favourite pocket watch.
Fob is hallmarked for Birmingham assay office, sterling silver, 1909, maker William Adams, the chain is earlier c1870s.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, lots of patina and age commensurate surface wear, section of the chain has been repaired with silver jump rings.
Total weight 33.12 grams.
Approx measurements:
Chain - 12.20" total length
Fob 1.5" length / 1" width
Links 6.9mm width at the widest point
