Smooth and rich, high polished 9ct yellow gold with those lustrous Rosey tones.
It has a striking area to the base and an attached jump ring for attaching to an Albert chain or even a necklace as an alternative pendant.
It has a push top hinge action top which opens and closes smoothly.
Nice old Chester assay, a desirable assay mark being long since closed.
Fully hallmarked to the inner rim and the upper inner of the lid for Chester assay office, maker Henry Matthews, 1904, 9ct gold.
A fine piece of antique tobacciana that can also be utilised as a jewellery piece.
