Antique 18ct gold cross pendant, Turquoise, Victorian, Mourning

A beautiful sentimental piece from the Victorian era, this antique 18ct gold cross pendant is a really special one.

It is hand carved with a lovely swirling foliate design in rich 18ct gold, the front of the cross is set with a single turquoise cabochon.

To the reverse there is a small glazed panel containing a tightly woven lock of hair to commemorate a loved one.

A beautiful and sentimental pendant.

Marks and era:
Victorian era, unmarked, electronically tests as 18ct gold with a 9ct gold bale.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some surface wear and signs of use commensurate with age, aged patina to the gold.
