This beautiful antique 15ct gold Arrow and horseshoe brooch is a real charmer! Rich in both symbolism and style you can't go wrong.
A slender feathered arrow with the rich buttery gold hue only found on antique gold, it has a slightly brushed finish giving it some realistic texture.
To the centre of the arrow there is a gold horseshoe set with lush pearls and twinkling rose cut diamons, the history behind horseshoe symbolism going back many years before the Victorian era.
It has varied meaning depending on which way it is facing but is generally considered to be a lucky symbol and one which wards off bad spirits and luck.
Arrows were a symbol of love, naturally emerging from the use of cupids arrow to spread love but they can also symbolise freedom, peace and independence.
This brooch has so much sentiment and it was certainly created to provide the wearer with good vibes.
