A gorgeous antique, Victorian sterling silver locket with applied rose gold and yellow gold thistle design to the front.
Aesthetic era, styles from the era can be seen throughout the lockets design.
It is a very interesting one with a lovely stylised bale and the thistle design.
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham, 1883, maker Barker Bros.
Internally it has the lion passant and date letter, bale stamped with the lion passant.
It comes on a contemporary replacement cord and organza necklace and can be sent with or without this and replaced with your favourite chain or collar necklace.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, lots of rich patina, light surface wear and scratches commensurate with age, some solder marks inside.
Approx measurements:
1.5" width, 2.5" height with bale
