A beautiful Victorian silver locket like this is the perfect piece for adding a little style to your favourite chain or necklace.
This aesthetic era piece is a good sized locket and will not go unnoticed, it has attractive engraving to the front and back, one side featuring an applied silver butterfly, foliate and roses the other side is monogrammed in gothic script ACE.
It could hold two photographs or a small memento, there are currently no glazed covers or lining within the locket and it is empty.
This would look great hung on a nice silver long chain or attached to a book chain necklace.
Marks and era:
Victorian era, fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office 1883, maker S Bros.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate wear and signs of use, surface wear, some scratches internally, no glazed cover, some small dings to the reverse side.
Approx measurements:
1.25" width
2.55" height including the bale.
