Antique Victorian Carnelian bead necklace, 9ct gold

This antique Victorian era Carnelian bead necklace is so gorgeous and chunky.

Big, bold Carnelian beads, graduating in size, in a rich orangey red with light coloured streaks ranging from clear to Orange hues.

The beads have been hand knotted onto a red orange cotton thread with an attractive antique melon top bead cap in 9ct yellow gold with a slide clasp.

This warm and chunky necklace certainly makes a statement and can blend with so many styles and colour schemes, such a versatile and wearable piece with plenty of gemmy goodness.

Victorian era, c1880s, 19th century, unmarked end caps test as 9ct gold.

Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, some light surface wear, scuffs / nibbles on some of the beads.
