A stunning antique, Mid Victorian era mourning ring.
Rich 15ct yellow gold band with cut out panel sides featuring interwoven brown plaited hair.
The gold band is engraved and terminates ast the front with an elaborate buckle and belt design, this symbolises holding someone close and enhances the sentiment in this beautiful ring.
The front has a small plain cartouche very slightly raised and this has not been engraved so the ring could still be personalised if desired.
An exceptionally well made piece, a real beauty with an unusual design.
It is fully hallmarked for 15ct gold, Birmingham assay office, 1876.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, minor light surface wear commensurate with age and use.
