An unusual antique Victorian era equestrian themed brooch.
It is modelled as a horseshoe with a horses head to the centre, very well detailed with a pair of riding crops crossed behind.
There is so much detailing in this piece it has such realistic features.
Perfect for the lover of horse or equestrian sports.
It has an old C type clasp and pin fastener, the pin is base metal and has significant rusting and could be doing with being replaced, price reflects.
Marks and era:
Late Victorian era, fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham Assay office 1882.
Approx measurements:
1.9" width
1.5" length
Weighs approx 3.85 grams
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, overall patina, pin is base metal and has significant rusting, would benefit from replacing, it is already a replacement and has play and looseness.
