A lovely rich red, antique Garnet cabochon in a teardrop shape is set into warm buttery 18ct gold with a closed back setting and simple bale.

This looks great on its own hung from a fine gold chain or as part of a stack of other charms and pendants.

The garnet has a gorgeous hue and it works so well with the yellow gold.

Likely converted from a larger piece of jewellery, the garnet is antique and the setting later vintage.

Unmarked, tests as 18ct gold, Victorian era garnet and later vintage setting.

Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age.
