This rare antique 18ct gold entwined snakes seal fob is simply enchanting!
Crafted in rich 18ct yellow gold the top is designed as a pair of entwined and coiled snakes, both with happy expressions and the richest golden glow.
The base is set with a lush rich orangey red Carnelian, the matrix, carved with initials in fancy script, possibly WMA or AMW 1925.
This beautiful antique seal has a gold jump ring attached so is ready to be hung from your favourite antique chain necklace or Albert chain, it is a versatile piece that will work many ways.
This is such a lovely elaborate example with the double entwined snakes, very nicely designed with lots of fine detailing a must have for any collection!
This would also make an amazing gift.
Marks and era:
It is marked with a makers mark and 18ct though this is very worn, you can just make out the 8 from the 18, tests as 18ct gold, c1920, engraved slightly later.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
