Be enchanted by this handsome Vintage, Art Deco era garnet and diamond double snake ring.
Coils of rich yellow gold form the body of these handsome intertwined snake pals, the heads are modelled as the face of the ring with the snakes both having sparkling diamond set eyes.
Set to the head of each one there are beautiful rich red garnets, round cut with a deep red tone.
The entwined double heads symbolic of partnership and love.
This is a substantial piece, well modelled snakes and a weighty ring.
The snake or serpent ring was catapulted into popularity when Queen Victoria received a snake ring from her beloved Albert when they were married in 1840 and has remained a beloved design since.
This is a gorgeous vintage ring, stacked with symbolism.
Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay office, 1926, makers mark for Nathan Bros.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light surface wear, previous resize evident, slightly off round, diamonds are a replacement.
