Victorian 18ct gold bangle, Diamond and pearl
Victorian 18ct gold bangle, Diamond and pearl
What a stunner this Victorian pearl and diamond bangle is!
It is crafted from 18ct yellow gold with a pretty openwork back.
To the front there is an elaborate floral spray in rich 22ct yellow gold set with pearls and two beautiful rose cut diamonds set into each trefoil design flower.
Something a little special about this beauty is that the bangle has been engraved at the reverse top with a quote from Shakespeare's: Much Ado About Nothing, it reads;
Lady Disdain from Prince A
This gives such a beautiful story to the bangle and we can only wonder as to the rest of the story.
It fastens with an integral clasp at the side and has an additional safety chain which is a replacement.
Unmarked, gold tests as 18ct and 22ct.
Mid to Late Victorian, c1870's
It comes in the original antique bangle box, the clasp is a little loose on the box.
