An attractive antique sterling silver vesta case.
Late Victorian era, it is a large oblong shape with rounded corners and fine ivy leaf engraving to the back and to half of the front.
A very fine piece with a good size to it and lots of detailing, it comes on a later vintage chunky sterling silver rope chain.
Engraved to the front with Xmas 1901, likely a gift for someone.
Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1900, maker WHR
Perfect as a large statement pendant or hung from a nice chunky silver albert chain.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, lid opens and closes well but doesn't sit absolutely flush to the rim, noticeable on close inspection only.
Approx measurements:
2.55" length with jump ring
1.3" width
0.5" depth / length
Weighs approx 45.84 grams collectively.
