This beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver locket pendant is so pretty and sweet with its attractive and interesting design.
It is engraved to the front in the aesthetic manner with a bird of paradise amongst foliage, the reverse is also engraved meaning this locket can be worn on both sides and this side is engraved with a swallow in flight.
It has a large, integral bale and internally pictures or tiny mementos could be stored but there are no glazed covers.
She has a decorative beaded edging finishing off the design nicely and it's a beautiful and unusual design with the double sided engraving.
This is perfect for adding to your favourite long chain or necklace.
Marks and era:
Victorian era, unmarked, tests as sterling silver, c1880s
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate wear and signs of use, surface wear, some scratches internally, no glazed covers.
Approx measurements:
1.05" width
2" height including the bale.
