This charming antique Victorian Mourning ring is full of character and alluring melancholy romance as mourning pieces are usually both beautiful and sometimes sad reminders of sacre loved ones.
This has so many elements of Georgian styling to it borrowing it's design from earlier times with the central oval Hairwork panel bejewelled with a halo of creamy seed pearls.
It has a decorative gadrooned band with engraved split or bifurcated shoulders.
The reverse is engraved with a personal inscription.

Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked on the inner band for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay office, date mark ineligible.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some age commensurate surface wear and signs of use, evidence of soft solder where the band joins, some marks and debris under the glazed panel.
