Antique Georgian mourning pendant brooch, 9ct gold, hairwork

A wonderful antique Georgian era mourning brooch.

It is an elliptical shaped piece.

It is crafted from 9ct gold with a rosey tone, the inner frame is a lovely yellow gold, to the front there is a glazed cover, there is a beautiful woven hair design beneath the glass combining two different colours of hair.

The brooch has an old c type clasp and pin fastener and also has a jump ring so it can be used as a pendant.

It does not sit flush as a pendant but it could if used with the pin also.

A lovely piece of Georgian jewelry.

Unmarked, electronically tests as 9ct gold, Georgian era c1800s

Condition:
Fair used condition overall, surface wear commensurate with age and use, pin is base metal, soft solder visible on the clasp, some wear to the glazed panel.
