Antique Victorian Citrine brooch, 9ct gold

An attractive little antique Citrine brooch.

This pretty piece is designed with a 9ct yellow gold bezel frame with a chased and engraved design, taking centre stage is the lovely rich warm citrine stone set to the centre, with its inviting and comforting hue, it is a good sized stone with an approx 1.84ct weight.

This brooch places most of it's emphasis on the citrine and is a versatile little piece that could be worn in many ways from a scarf to tie pin or simply adorning a lapel.

The brooch fastens with an old c type clasp fastener.

Unmarked, electronically tests as 9ct gold, c1870s, citrine estimated approx 1.84ct

Condition:
Good used condition overall, the gold is hollow so is lightweight, some small dings, surface wear commensurate with age and use, minor areas of discolouration, pin and fitting is base metal, light scratches to the stone.
