A charming antique sterling silver and green jasper padlock pendant.
This is a beautifully designed piece, shaped as a shield, one side delicately engraved in the aesthetic manner and the other featuring a rich green jasper cut into a shield shape and bezel set into the cool sterling silver.
The padlock opens and closes with a little recessed edge on the silver clasp.
It would have originally been used to secure a bracelet, usually found on antique Scottish agate and silver pieces, it is now a standalone piece and works great as a pendant, either on a nice antique silver long chain or as part of a neck mess with other charms and pendants.
Of course if you are looking for a bracelet clasp for your antique silver bracelet then it is perfect for this too!
Condition:
Good used condition overall, wear and patina commensurate with age, slight bend in the loop part of the clasp.
Approx measurements:
1.45" length
