An attractive antique sterling silver double Albert chain / watch chain.
This is a heavy double Albert chain with an interesting shield shaped silver fob, the fob has an applied rose gold cartouche which has no monogram or engraving so could be personalised.
It has two chains both with silver dog clip ends and a silver t bar, the fob and t bar extend from a small length of chain and all are marked.
Each link of the chain bears the lion passant for sterling silver.
The fob is hallmarked for Birmingham 1915, Herbert Bushell, the chain bears the lion passant, each dog clip has marks for Birmingham assay office and 1899 date letter, t bar is also hallmarked.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some rubbing of the marks, overall patina and age commensurate surface wear.
Total weight 56.18 grams.
Approx measurements:
Fob - 1.75" length with bale and 1" width
Chain - 14" length wearable
T bar - 1.75" width
