Antique Peridot and Ruby drop pendant, 9ct gold, Edwardian, floral

This beautiful antique peridot and ruby floral pendant is so pretty and elegant.

It is a drop pendant with a circular pendulum design, openwork, it is set with four lush green peridot around the central circle intercepted with little gold flowers each set with a beautiful tiny ruby cabochon.

It has a further peridot suspended from a little articulated drop at the centre.

Peridot is the birthstone for August, it is said to promote prosperity and growth and is the only gemstone to be found in one colour.

The pendant is made from rich 9ct yellow gold and has an integral bale ready to hang from your favourite necklace.

Such a wonderfully designed and cheerful piece, it would make a lovely gift.

Marks and era:
Edwardian era, c1900s, marked 9ct to the reverse along with S Bros for the maker.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, bale has some thinning from use and wear.
