A beautiful antique, late Georgian era 9ct gold and Carnelian seal fob.
It is a large seal fob with typical scrolling arches leading to an integral bale, the base is gadrooned and below it is set with a carved Carnelian stone.
The matrix has been carved with a heraldic crown which has a dragon reaching out from it.
This is perfect worn as a pendant or for hanging from your favourite Albert chain.
Unmarked tests as 9ct gold, c1800s, English make
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light wear to the stone, some wear and tarnish to the gold.
Approx measurements:
1.25" height / length
0.8" width at the base
0.6" length / depth at the base
