You can't go wrong with a beautiful antique gold locket, such a staple piece for the jewellery box and they make such wonderful gifts.
This antique 9ct yellow gold locket has everything going for it.
An oval shaped locket with two glazed compartment sides, one containing a portrait picture of a lady and the other containing a blue silk insert.
It currently houses a sepia image of a beautiful lady with a flower in her hair and wearing a string of pearls.
It has a gold bale with a 9ct gold jump ring attached, ready to be hung from your favourite antique gold chain or would also look great on a ribbon necklace.
Marks and era:
Edwardian era, unmarked, tests as 9ct gold, c1900s.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, very small nick / chip to the glass.
Approx measurements:
2" length with bale
1.25" width
Weight approx 7.82 grams.
