A gorgeous antique Art Deco era 9ct yellow gold fancy link watch chain or Albert chain, this is a longer length so could be used as a necklace.
It has fancy paperclip links intertwined with one another and intercepted by fancy gold knot style links.
The chain has a fantastic grand and rare 9ct gold and cobalt blue enamel fob which reads President, with an enamelled coat of arms which features three houses, a lion rampant and the word erimus, which means 'we shall be', the bottom half of the fob has fancy gothic script in gold BMC and there is a further gold lion at the top.
The fob is engraved on the reverse Herbert G Sporates 1935 along with the hallmarks.
It has two gold dog clip fasteners at each end.
Perfect for showcasing your favourite antique pocket or fob watch or wearing as a necklace.
Dog clips are stamped 9c and the fob is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay office, C&S Ltd.
The chain is a little earlier than the fob C1910s.
A very lovely piece, this would make a beautiful gift for someone Special or as a treat for yourself!

Very good used condition overall, some surface wear commensurate with age, general signs of use.
