A beautiful antique Diamond and banded agate mourning brooch.
This is a tremendously beautiful piece, an antique gold bar brooch with a very well carved banded agate flower.
The forget me not flower has beautiful rich tones, mostly in black with slim brown and white bands at the edges.
The centre of the flower there is a single sparkling old cut diamond, approx 0.10ct.
The reverse has an open locket type back but no glazed cover.
It has a closed C type clasp fastener and gold pin.
Unmarked it tests as 9ct gold, English make late Victorian, c1900
A beautiful and unusual mourning brooch.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, no glazing to the reverse.

2.5" width
