You can't help but fall in love with this gorgeous antique, Victorian era, sterling silver chunky cuff bangle.
A rare design the front half of the bangle has a pierced cut out design of florals with engraved highlights, the reverse is a smooth polished, solid finish and has an engraved monogram BN or NB, it would work for both.
A very well made piece, this would make a great gift or a nice addition to your own bangle collection!
It is an oval shaped bangle, wide and chunky, best for wrists around 6.75" to 7.25" looks great worn alone or with other bangles for a mega stacked look.
It has a concealed slide clasp with a mark for J M Banks's patent, there are two small push buttons to release the clasp.
Marks and era:
The bangle is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1880, maker JM Banks.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some slight play in hinge, clasp with tiny gap when closed but still closes with a snap and securely.
Approx measurements:
1.15" width
7.5" outer circumference
1.75" inner length
2.65" inner width
