A very beautiful and unusual antique, Victorian era Pinchbeck albertina or watch chain.
This pretty piece has a finely woven mesh panel which draws down into a point and suspends a sweet little gold plated amethyst seal fob.
To the top of the mesh there is a decorative clip which is for attaching the albertina to a sash or waist belt.
To the reverse of the mesh there is a longer, fine belcher link chain with a dog clip for attaching a fob watch or pocket watch.
A really pretty piece.
Condition:
Very good used condition overall, some surface wear commensurate with age.
Total weight 11.93 grams.
Approx measurements:
5.5" total length
3.5" length mesh panel
0.5" width at the widest point
0.75" fob length
