An interesting antique Victorian sterling silver Baby brooch.
It features cut out letters spelling the word baby mounted on to silver knife edge bars with trefoil finials.
The brooch has a wonderful deep engraved star punch design giving it a subtle celestial twist.
Baby brooches were often gifted to commemorate the birth of a new baby and were mass produced in the era, mostly in silver but sometimes gold.
It fastens with an old c type clasp and pin fastener.

Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, late Victorian era c1890s
Condition:
Good used condition overall, wear and signs of use commensurate with age, dark aged patina.
