A truly handsome antique, Victorian era sterling silver Albert chain or watch chain.
Fancy silver links with an engraved bar design each linked together with chunky rolo links.
The chain has a dog clip fastener to each end and a jump ring to the other with an attached t bar and a lovely lion and arch design spinning fob set with Carnelian and bloodstone.
The fob has a walled archway with a lion either side the spinning fob centre set and fully hallmarked.
A very unusual antique fob and makes a lovely addition to the chain, it is fixed in position with a large silver jump ring and is slightly off centre on the chain.
A lovely decorative chain, the perfect piece for displaying your favourite pocket watch or a necklace depending on size.
Hallmarked for sterling silver Birmingham 1901, maker John Smith, the chain is Unmarked tests as sterling silver, late Victorian era.
One dog clip is a replacement, it is silver plated and slightly smaller than the other.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, overall patina and age commensurate surface wear, links and fob with some general surface wear and dings.
Total weight 33.62 grams.
