Antique Bohemian Garnet pendant, 9ct gold, Victorian

A beautiful and unique antique Bohemian Garnet pendant.

This is a conversion piece, the original piece was a brooch hailing from the mid Victorian era and it has been converted later to a pendant.

The Garnets are a lovely rich and deep red, very prized today and found on most of the early to late Victorian pieces.

The Garnets are set into a closed back setting of 9ct yellow gold and the pendant has lovely delicate goldwork woven in between the stones.

Marks and era:
It is unmarked, tests as 9ct, Victorian era c1870s.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, minor surface wear to the stones, one area of fine gold work worn through.

Approx measurements:
1.75" length
1.25" width

Weight approx 5.10 grams.
