This handsome antique 9ct Rose gold signet ring has a warm cherished charm about it.
It has a shield shaped face with an engraved monogram of initials, this is a little worn but it could be LCI or similar in a gothic type script.
It has a rich, smooth gold band with impressed shoulders, nice and chunky.
It is a nice weighty ring, perfect as a pinky ring.
Signet rings derive their name from the Latin for signature, they were popular throughout history in men's jewellery and were often carved with family crests or signatures and used as stamps or intaglios, later they remained popular as a fashion choice and they have remained a popular piece of mens jewellery since their creation.

Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Art Deco era, 1920, Birmingham assay office.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some surface wear commensurate with age, monogram worn.
