A gorgeous antique, late Victorian, 15ct gold and pearl crescent brooch.
A beautiful closed crescent in very rich bloomed 15ct yellow gold, it is set with creamy pearls that graduate from the ends to centre.
Crescent moons were a popular motif in Victorian jewellery, they are attributed to a number of meanings from feminine strength to changes or new beginnings / chapters.
