This Vintage Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity brooch or pin is really quite amazing if we don't say so ourselves, so much detailing in a tiny package.
Crafted in 10ct gold with a light aged patina, the brooch is a puffy heart shape, enamelled in rich inky black enamel it has the letters for Sigma Phi Epsilon and a little skull and Crossbones in gold.
The heart has a pretty halo of creamy seed pearls and it has a tiny little letter B safety pin adjoined with a gold trace chain, also set with tiny seed pearls.
Sigma Phi Epsilon is a college fraternity group founded in 1901 in Richmond USA
The brooch and tiny B pin both fasten with a gold safety fastener.
It is engrave on the reverse R.A Geis. Jr 39
Marks and era:
Marked 10k, American make, c1930s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age and use, slight minor surface nicks to enamel, fastens securely.
Approx measurements:

0.60" height
0.25" B pin length
1.9" length safety chain
